Enlarging Your Subjects Even More
(Digital Zooming)
This function is convenient when you want to enlarge a very
distant subject even more than is posable with the normal
(opticai) zoom which offers a magnification range of
1X-20X. For the Digital Zoom Function, you can choose
between up to 40x and up to 400x magnification.
1 Press the [MENU] Button.
The [CAMERA FUNCTiONS] Main-Menu appears.
2 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [DIGITAL
EFFECT] and then press the [PUSH] Dial.
The [DIGITAL EFFECT] Sub-Menu appears.
3 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [EFFECTI ].
4 Press the [PUSH] Dial to select [ @ & ZOOM] or
[ZOOM].
5 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [RETURN] and
then press the [PUSH] Dial to select [YES].
The [CAMERA FUNCTIONS] Main-Menu appears.
6 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [CAMERA
SETUP] and then press the [PUSH] Dial.
The [CAMERA SETUP] Sub-Menu appears.
7 Turn the [PUSH] Dial to select [D.ZOOM] and
then press the [PUSH] Dial to select [40x] or
[400X].
•40X: Digital zooming up to 40x.
•400X: Digitai zooming up to 400x.
8 Press the [MENU] Button to exit the menu.
9 Push the [W/T] Zoom Lever toward [W] or [T]
zoom In or out on the subject.
•The higher the Digital Zoom Magnification is, the lower is the
picture quality.
Cancelling the Digitai Zoom Function
Set [EFFECTI] on the [DIGITAL EFFECT] Sub-Menu to
[OFF].
