PATTERN GEN
SETUP::MOTOR CONTROL::PATTERN GEN
Designed for all Motor Control Modes.
The pattern generator function block allows you to configure the Drive PWM (Pulse Width Modulator) operation.
Designed for all Motor Control Modes, except when the speed feedback is a resolver.
This parameter selects between random pattern (quiet motor noise) or the more conventional fixed carrier PWM strategies.
When TRUE, random pattern is enabled.
For AC induction Motor control modes, except when the speed feedback is a resolver:
This parameter selects the PWM switching frequency of the output power stack.
The higher the switching frequency, the lower the level of motor audible noise. However, this is only achieved at the
expense of increased drive losses and reduced stack current rating.
For PMAC control mode with an ENdat encoder fitted :
This parameter selects the PWM
switching frequency of the output power stack if the parameter PWM FREQ PMAC is set
to ‘OTHERS’.The max value is limited to 4000Hz.
The higher the switching frequency, the lower the level of motor audible noise. However, this is only achieved at the
expense of increased drive losses and reduced stack current rating.
Designed for all Motor Control Modes, except PMAC Control Mode.
