The normal mode of operation is OPEN LOOP TRANS FN. This adds a pseudorandom binary sequence of torque onto the
torque demand signal. The resultant change in speed is measured, stored, and read out to a pc where it may be analysed, and the
system t
ransfer function determined.
Using this mode it is also possible to determine the closed loop speed loop transfer function, the open loop position loop
transfer function, and the closed loop position loop transfer function.
However, it is also possible to measure the closed loop speed loop transfer function directly, by setting this parameter equal to
SPEED TRANSFR FN.
