Taking Pictures of Dark Scenes
(Night Scene Mode)
Total recording time will be longer when the picture is taken at
slower shutter speed (approximately 1/4 second or slower),
because the noise reduction function is activated to reduce noise.
The shutter speed becomes slower when taking pictures of dark
scenes. The camera shake is likely to occur under such condition.
The followings are good ways to prevent camera shake. (1 p.57,
110)
- Activate the Shake Reduction function.
- Set Shake Reduction to Off and secure the camera on a tripod or
other stable object.
