4. Thread the tension discs by pulling the thread down
between the silver discs.
5. Then, down and around the check spring holder and
back up to the take up lever.
6. Pull the thread from right to the left through the slotted
eye of the take-up lever and then down again.
7. Pass the thread behind the fl at, horizontal thread
guide.
8. Guide the thread into the wire loop.
9. Thread the end of the thread through the needle from
front to back, and pull out about 10 cm of thread. Or
use the needle threader to thread the needle. (On the
