- Check that the automatic valve lifter cam, the stop
roller and the rubber stop on the containment bell
show no signs of wear.
- Check that the valve lifter spring is not overstressed.
- Replace any worn parts.
- Check that the equalizer pins show no signs of
scoring or wear

Maximum allowed end play: 0.3 mm
- Replace the defective parts in case of anomalous

- Check that the groove shown in the figure, seat of the
stop plate, shows no signs of wear.

Camshaft check
- Check that the camshaft supports show no signs of
anomalous wear or scoring.
- Measure the camshaft supports by means of a mi-
crometer.
