CAUTION!
Extension of the response time of the safety light curtain when using
the beam coding
When calculating the safety distance, remember the extended response
time (see Technical details [ 48]) with beam coding.
Changing from uncoded to coded operation is a change of the safety light
curtain and it requires a new risk assessment and hazard analysis.
– Perform a new risk assessment and hazard analysis and determine
the new minimum distance [ 15] to the hazardous area with the
extended response time.
