The Smart.Shift system in standard bikes is supplied with the
necessary power by the robust and waterproof rechargeable
battery. It complies with protection class IPX7. The
rechargeable battery can be installed inside and outside the
frame. The battery capacity is sufficient for over 20,000 gear
shifts and 100 hours of riding pleasure.
Battery charge level
You can see the charge level of your Smart.Shift system in the
Smart.Shift app when it is connected to your smartphone.
In addition, the LED on the Smart.Shift box indicates when the
charge level is low after each gear shift. The LED first flashes
white or light blue for the gear shift and then flashes
depending on the charge level:
● ≤20% = yellow
● ≤10% = red
If the charge level is ≤5%, a short beep also sounds from the
Smart.Shift box to indicate that charging is necessary. Low
battery charge levels can also result in a drop of shifting
performance.
