11 MAINTENANCE
11.1 Cleaning
Surfaces
NOTE When cleaning the unit surfaces, always disconnect
the unit from mains.
The unit surfaces can be cleaned with a soft cloth dam-
ped in a mild cleaning solution.
Stronger agents can be used for disinfecting the surfa-
ces. We recommend Dürr System-hygiene FD 322 or
respective disinfecting solution.
Film holder
The film holder can be autoclaved up to 145 °C or
cleaned with alcohol-based solution.
11.2 Preventive maintenance
To guarantee operator and patient safety and to ensure
image quality the unit must be checked by a qualified
service technician once a year or after every 10,000
exposures if this is sooner.
