This could cause constricon. Before liing, make sure that the hand control
and the cable are free of the Spreader Bar, the care recipient and any other
object. Do not allow the paent to hold the spreader bar to prevent injury
from arm or nger pinching. The operator should always hold the spreader
bar when in the vicinity of paents to avoid injury from hits from the
spreader bar. Pay special aenon when lowering to not hit the paent with
the spreader bar as this could result in an injury.
3.3. Explanatorylabeloverview
2-Point Spreader Bar example:
• 2021-01 = Year – Month.
Also, the batch number.
• 8102 = type number of
the Spreader Bar, in this case a 2-Point Spreader Bar.
• SWL = Safe Working Load in kilogram and behind this in LBS.
• WLL = Working Load Limit in kilogram and behind this in LBS.
• Manufacturer’s name and address data.
3.4. Connectandrelease
The blue dot has a marking funcon. Only when the slot is in the same line as
the dot, the hook can be connected and released on/o the Spreader Bar.
1. Hold the hook 90° to the Spreader Bar.
2. Place the opening of the hook over the pen of the Spreader Bar.
3. Pull back the hook and in the same movement, turn it back up.
4. Please, reverse these steps to release the Spreader Bar.
Spreader bars and accessories should always be installed by a trained
person. Check the connecon with Central Suspension Point before
every transfer.
