What to do if CH pump is inoperative in Plum ecomaxx 800 R2 Thermostat?
    • H
      hlozanoAug 20, 2025
If the CH pump in your Plum Thermostat is inoperative, check if the boiler temperature has exceeded the set value in CH pump activation temperature settings. If it has, either wait or reduce the set value. Also, see if the room thermostat is preventing the CH pump from starting, and if so, set the CH pump standstill time parameter to 0. Finally, check if HUW priority is preventing the CH pump from starting and disable it by setting the HUW pump mode to No priority.

Why is preset CH temperature different than programmed on Plum Thermostat?
    • M
      Matthew MaldonadoAug 23, 2025
The preset CH temperature on your Plum Thermostat display might differ from the programmed temperature if the HUW container is being filled and its preset temperature is higher than the boiler's preset temperature. These variations should disappear once the HUW container has been pre-heated, or you can reduce the preset value of the HUW container. Also, check if the room thermostat is on and set the service parameter Red. preset b. temp. at 0. Finally, make sure the night time decrease is off.

What to do if fuel feeder inoperative on Plum ecomaxx 800 R2 Thermostat?
    • A
      Alyssa MartinezAug 26, 2025
If the fuel feeder is inoperative on your Plum Thermostat, ensure the blow-in output isn't too low and increase it if necessary. Check if connecting terminals 1-2 of the STB safety temperature limiter are bridged. If the boiler has an STB temperature limiter with manual return, release the limiter by removing the lid and pressing the push-button according to the boiler manufacturer's documentation. Also, verify that 'Fuel Feeder and Blow-In' is set to ON in the Boiler Settings menu. Finally, inspect the fan and replace it if needed.

What to do if Plum Thermostat overheats in DHW=SUMMER mode?
    • O
      omar85Aug 28, 2025
If your Plum Thermostat overheats in DHW=SUMMER mode, try increasing the HUW pump operation extension time to cool down the boiler. You can also increase the maximum HUW temperature setting to enable excessive heat discharge to the HUW container.

What to do if fuel is not completely burned in Plum Thermostat?
    • M
      Melanie FigueroaAug 30, 2025
If, when the Individual Fuzzy Logic mode is on, the fuel is not completely burned in your Plum Thermostat, check whether feeder wires are correctly connected to the terminals. If the STB temperature limiter is connected to terminals 1-2, check whether power supply has not been cut off due to boiler overheating. Check whether feeder motor is not faulty and verify that the setting of "Fuel Feeder and Blow-In and set at ON in MENU ? Boiler Settings. In case motor is running and fuel is not supplied - replace cotter pin in coupling of fuel feeder acc. boiler manual.

How to fix incorrect temperature measurement on Plum ecomaxx 800 R2?
    • M
      Mr. Jason CraneSep 4, 2025
To correct an incorrect temperature measurement on your Plum Thermostat, ensure there is good thermo contact between the temperature sensor and the measured surface. Check that the sensor wire isn't too close to a network wire and that the sensor is connected to the terminal. Also, check if the sensor is broken.

What to do if Plum Thermostat boiler overheats despite disabled airflow?
    • J
      Julian FerrellSep 9, 2025
If your Plum Thermostat boiler overheats despite disabled airflow, the reason may be boiler defect or improper chimney design - lack of protection against too excessive flue draught.

What causes mixer to close in hydraulic system with mixing valve and servo on Plum ecomaxx 800 R2?
    • D
      daniel66Sep 12, 2025
In a hydraulic system with a mixing valve and servo in your Plum Thermostat, the mixer might close due to the response of the return protection function. If this function is active, ensure the sensor of water return to the boiler is thermally isolated and apply thermal paste to improve thermal contact. Increase the preset boiler temperature to heat return water adequately. Also, verify that the hydraulic system is properly made, so that upon valve closing, return temperature increases above the set value. The reason may be filling HUW container at active HUW priority - wait until completed HUW container filling or deactivate HUW priority. Finally, the reason may be active SUMMER function.
