3. Remove steering wheel nut

and remove steering
wheel.
4. Remove three fasteners

and remove the steering
coil assembly. Disconnect electrical harness.
5. Remove dash. See Dash Removal in the Body/Frame
chapter.
6. Remove two fasteners

from the tilt bracket
assembly, and remove tilt bracket and pivot tube as
an assembly.
7. Remove steering boot

8. Remove two steering shaft bearing fasteners

9. Remove one pinch bolt

and remove steering shaft.
