REAR CALIPER ASSEMBLY CONT.
4. Install brake pads in caliper body with friction material
facing each other . If equipped with a pad spacer , install
the spacer between the pads. Install retaining pin
through outer pad, pad spacer and inner pad.
5. Install caliper and torque mounting bolts.
6. Install brake lines and tighten to specified torque.
7. Follow bleeding procedure outlined on pages 9.6-9.7 of
this section and refer to system overview and illustration
on page 9.4.
8. Field test unit for proper braking action before putting into
service. Inspect for fluid leaks and firm brakes. Make
sure the brake is not dragging when lever is released. If
the brake drags, re-check assembly and installation.
