Tips on Hosting or Moderating a Telemedicine Event
Ensure that the meeting room and technology is available and reserved for the
meeting
Turn videoconference equipment on at start of the meeting
Explain the videoconference system and process to the Chairperson/
Participants as well as inform the Chairperson/Participants about
videoconference etiquette and moderation skills
Ensure the Chairperson’s equipment requirements are in place and functioning
properly
Initiate the videoconference call for a point-to-point meeting (for Chairperson
Site only)
Distribute agendas and handouts
Operate the technology during a videoconference and or provide basic on-site
technical support
Terminate the videoconference call
Call the OTN Help Desk in the event of a technical problem during a meeting
