Line keys are configurable as: call appearance, speed dial, Direct Station Selection
(DSS), or Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
Definitions: Call Appearance – examples would be an Alerting state (ringing or
flashing), Active state, or Held state
DSS – process of using a button of softkey on telephone station to select
another specific extension to connect to
BLF – the light on a phone or sidecar which tells whether another
extension (on same tenant) is busy or not
