While sidecars are plug-and-play devices that are
powered by the host Polycom VVX phone, Fuze
must first enable the device for the customer in
order for it to be recognized

Color Module
Line keys are configurable as: call appearance, speed dial, Direct Station Selection
(DSS), or Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
Definitions: Call Appearance – examples would be an Alerting state (ringing or
flashing), Active state, or Held state
DSS – process of using a button on telephone station to select another
specific extension to connect to
BLF – the light on a phone or sidecar which tells whether another
extension (on same tenant) is busy or not
