To access the front panel communication options, perform the following
steps:
1. If the UPS is powered on, prepare your equipment for
shutdown.
Press and hold the Output
Off button until the long beep
ceases (approximately three seconds).
The
indicator remains lit indicating Normal mode, load
offline.
Switch the input breaker on the power processing unit to the
OFF (O) position. Wait until all indicators turn off and then
continue to the next step.
2. Switch the PPU input breaker to the ON (
|
) position while
pressing the Output
Off button until the alarm beeps. All
indicators begin flashing.
3. Press and hold the Output
Off buttona second time until the
alarm beeps again.
A single indicator, corresponding with the current setting,
remains flashing.
4. Press the Output
Off button to scroll through the
communication options, top to bottom. Each time you pressthe
button, the UPS beeps and the next indicator flashes.
NOTE If you donot save a selection within30 seconds, thesetupautomatically
abortsand switchesbackto the originalconfiguration.
5. Press and hold the Output On button until the alarm beeps to
select and save a communication option. Failure to release the
button immediately after the beep will cause the UPS to abort
the setup.
6. Press the Output
On button again to return the UPS to
Normal mode.
NOTE Printer mode selectionsare the only serialcommunication modesavailable
from the front panel.
