What to do if Protemp PT-75T-KFA Heater doesn't operate and shows E1?
    • M
      Michael BryanAug 6, 2025
If your Protemp Heater doesn't operate, the motor runs briefly, the lamp flickers, and the LED displays 'E1', here are some things to check: 1. Ensure the fuel tank has fresh kerosene. 2. Adjust the pump pressure if it's incorrect. 3. Clean or replace a corroded spark plug with an incorrect gap. 4. Clean or replace the fuel filter if it is dirty. 5. Clean or replace the nozzle if it is dirty. 6. Rinse the fuel tank with fresh, clean kerosene if there's moisture inside. 7. Inspect all electrical connections between the transformer and circuit board. 8. Re-attach the ignitor wire to the spark plug if it's disconnected. 9. Replace the ignitor if it is defective.

Why does my Protemp PT-75T-KFA Heater shut off after igniting and shows E1?

      howardmariaAug 21, 2025
If your Protemp Heater ignites but the main PCB shuts off shortly after, displaying 'E1' and the lamp flickers, it could be due to several reasons: * Incorrect pump pressure, which requires adjustment. * A dirty input, output, or lint filter, which should be cleaned or replaced. * A dirty fuel filter, which should be cleaned or replaced. * A dirty nozzle, which should be cleaned or replaced. * A dirty photocell lens, which should be cleaned or replaced. * Improper installation or a defect in the photocell, requiring adjustment, or replacement. * Improper electrical connection between the main PCB and photocell; check wiring connections.
