Ba• ery Charger
The external charger has been designed to charge the Li-Ion
ba• ery (= 24 V).
The chargers have features which prevent hazards or
accidents occurring as a result of connec• ng ba• eries the
wrong way round, overhea ng caused by fault condi• ons or
a• emp• ng to charge wrong voltage ba eries.
The majority of charger sizes are electrically double insulated
and no earth connec• on is required. Some larger sizes may be
electrically earthed and this will be clearly stated on the label.
DANGER!
As with all mains powered electrical equipment, always replace
blown fuses with the same type and size of fuse as speci! ed.
Fi" ng of di# erent fuses can result in an increased ! re risk,
damage to the charger or failure of the charger to operate
properly.
Ba• ery Replacement
WARNING!
Please replace with ba ery of same type. Please select the
ba• ery type and capacity per speci!ca• on in the manual. Please
use the replacement ba ery directly provided by the authorized
supplier(s) to ensure the performance and func• on.
WARNING!
Please protect the ba• ery from freezing; Please keep the
wheelchair in a suitable environment. Please do not charge the
frozen ba ery, otherwise the ba• ery may be damaged.
Overload / undervoltage fuse
This unit is designed for wheelchair safety by switching o# and
on a protec• ve circuit within the Lithium-ion ba• ery. It will
immediately cut o# power supply if the motor is overloaded
or the voltage is too low so as to protect motors and electrical
components from damage. To restore the fuse func• on, use the
charger to charge the wheelchair or replug the ba• ery connector.

6.4 The range of your vehicle:
Please refer to the speci! ca• on tables at the back of this
manual for Energy Consump• on, (Maximum Range),
informa• on.
Most manufacturers of mobility products state the range of
their vehicles either in the sales literature or within the Owners
Manual. The range stated some• mes di# ers from manufacturer
to manufacturer even though the ba• ery size is the same.
But variances s ll occur due to motor e$ ciencies and overall
product load weight.
The range ! gures are calculated to I.S.O. Standard 7176. Part 4:
Wheelchair Energy Consump• on Theore• cal Range.
This test is carried out in controlled condi• ons with new, fully
charged ba eries, on a level test surface and a user weight of
100 kg (220 lbs). The range ! gures stated should be seen as
a theore• cal maximum and could be reduced if any single, or
combina• on, of the following circumstances occur:
User weight heavier than 100 kg (220 lbs).
Ba• eries whose age and condi• on are less than perfect.
The terrain is di$ cult e.g. very hilly, sloping, muddy ground,
gravel, grass, snow and ice.
The vehicle climbs curbs regularly.
The ambient temperature is very hot or very cold.
Lots of start/stop driving.
Also thick pile carpets within the home can a# ect range.
Use of addi• onal power consump• on op• ons (e.g. light,
actuators, etc.)
The ba• ery sizes available on your product should give
su$ cient range to cope with the majority of customers
lifestyles.
