1. Introduction
1.1 Brief Description
The RABE RDS ”Artemis II” seed drill
control system allows you to adapt your
RABE seed drill exibly and optimally to
seed and sowing conditions, and to control
seed rates in a precise and versatile
manner.
ARTEMIS is a fully programmable control
system with a job computer (4/2) and
power unit (4/3) on the seed drill, and with
a removable operating terminal (g. 1) with
a clearly legible graphic display (1/1) and
integrated keypad (1/2) on the tractor.
Data transfer occurs via a exible integrated
CAN bus. ARTEMIS has an essentially self-
explanatory error tolerant screen display
(menu control).
This allows control to be mastered easily
even without a manual.
Nevertheless, please read the following
information and explanations carefully.
In this way, you will avoid errors in use
and adjustment.
The operating terminal (2/1) has two M8
stay bolts (2/2) on the rear, with which the
control unit can be xed to an adjustable
support in the tractor cab.
Also on the rear of the unit are two 9-pin
RS-232 interfaces (2/4) for connecting
additional devices, such as GPS receivers,
external drives, data transfer cables to a PC,
etc.
A short cable equipped with a CA6 socket
(2/6) is attached to the 50-pin connection
(2/5) of the operating terminal. From this
cable, a connection can be made to the
computer on the seed drill with the adjacent
CA6 cable (2/7) as desired.
This cable also supplies power to the
terminal on the seed drill.
