High Level Check System Check Remedy
Air Filter is clogged ( Every 10 hours) this
should be cleaned.
Automatic choke has a manual override
feature. If the curved wire lever above the air
cleaner is pulled out the automatic choke
Push in manual override for choke
Oil in oil separator from oil level too high
Empty and/or replace oil separator. Clean
pulse line from crankcase to oil separator
Check that engine oil is not overfilled.
Spark Arrestor has become clogged
Clean with brush remove and replace if
needed.
Air Filter is dirty/clogged Service the air filter
Fuel filter dirty/clogged Service the fuel filter
Fuel pump dirty/filled with oil/failure Clean or replace fuel pump if needed
Air Filter is Dirty Clean/ Replace Air Filter
Rollover vent valve failure and/or vent line
pinched under hood. Hose is pinched by
hood assembly.
Remove gas cap, listen for vacuum sound.
Test vent line and valve to ensure it is
unrestricted. Shorten hose or simply reroute.
Engine shuts off while driving on hills
Low Oil. Oil level switch shuts off engine Check oil level
Low fuel level Check fuel level
See if magneto is unplugged. This is a black
wire on the units engine that goes over top.
Magneto became unplugged while running
Backfire harness is unpluged Check all connections on unit.
Along with back fires the unit presents also-
Problems
Check for heavy voltage Spikes as this may
present a system Failure/ Call manufacture
Carburaertor may need to be replaced
Engine runs rough or shuts down when
running
Engine runs, but cannot be shut off
Engine backfires when shut off
Engine does not run properly
Symptom
Engine runs well at no-load but “bogs down”
when loads are connected to generator,
mower is turned on, or driving up a steep hill
