6.20Simulatormode
TheSimulatormodeenablesyoutopractice
operatingyourdisplaywithoutdatafromaGPS
antenna,radarscanner,AISunit,orshnder.
Thesimulatormodeisswitchedon/offinthe
SystemSetupMenu.
Note:RaymarinerecommendsthatyoudoNOT
usethesimulatormodewhilstnavigating.
Note:ThesimulatorwillNOTdisplayanyreal
data,includinganysafetymessages(suchas
thosereceivedfromAISunits).
Note:Anysystemsettingsmadewhilstin
SimulatormodeareNOTtransmittedtoother
equipment.
Enablinganddisablingsimulatormode
Youcanenableanddisablesimulatormodeby
followingthestepsbelow.
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.SelectSet-Up.
2.SelectSystemSettings.
3.SelectSimulator:.
4.SelectOntoturnsimulatormodeon,or
5.SelectOfftoturnsimulatormodeoff.
Note:TheDemomovieoptionisforretail
demonstrationpurposesonly.

Thekeypadcancontrol1ormoremultifunction
displays.Multiplekeypadscanbeconnectedtoa
system.Eachkeypadcanbepairedwithupto4
multifunctiondisplays.
Withthekeypadconnectedtothemultifunction
display:
1.SelectExternalKeypadfromtheExternal
Devicesmenu:homescreen>Set-up>System
Settings>ExternalDevices>External
Keypad.
2.SelectPairKeypad.
3.Pressanybuttonontheexternalkeypad.
4.Fromthepop-upmessageselecttheorientation
ofthekeypad.
Eitherlandscapeorportraitorientationsare
available.
Thekeypadisnowpaired.
Unpairingthekeypad
Thekeypadcanbeunpairedfromanindividual
display.
