Beforerstusetheunitmustbecalibratedtoensure
optimumperformance.
Thecalibrationsettingsaregroupedinto3
categories:UserCalibration,Intermediate
CalibrationandDealerCalibration.
AccesstotheUserCalibrationmenucanbelocked
fromtheDealerCalibrationmenu.
7.2Usercalibration
Thei60CHinstrumentdisplayisarepeaterdisplay
andassuchdoesnotrequirecalibration,thesteps
belowapplytothecalibrationofthei60Wind
instrumentonly.
Usercalibrationoptionsinclude:
•Windangleoffset—Assignsanoffsettothewind
anglereadings.
•UnitsforWindspeedreadings—Assignstheunit
ofmeasureusedforwindspeedrelatedreadings
AutomaticLinearization
Thewindtransducercanlinearizeitselfautomatically
undercertainconditions.
ForAutomaticLinearizationtobeperformedCAL
mustbeashingonthedigitaldisplay.CALis
displayedforapproximately30secondsafterpower
onunderthefollowingconditions:
•Atrstpoweron,afterinstallation
•Atpoweron,afterafactoryreset.
Toperformtheautomaticlinearizationthevesselwill
needtobeunderway,withsufcientspacetoturnin
largecirclesunhindered.Thewindspeedmustbe
sufcienttoholdthevanetowindwhilstthevesselis
turning.Thevesselmustbeturnedslowlythroughat
least2completecircles.
Thisprocedureautomaticallylinearizesthewind
vane.Asuccessfullinearizationisindicatedbythe
digitaldisplayashingandabuzzersoundingthree
beeps
Aligningthewindtransducer
Duringnormaloperation:
1.PressandholdtheDisplayandTrue/App
buttonsatthesametimeforapproximately
2seconds,untiltheUserCalibrationpageis
displayed.
2.PresstheDisplaybuttonuntiltheWindAngle
Offsetpageisdisplayed(1pressfromtheUser
Calibrationpage).
