5.1Commissioningpre-requisites
Beforecommissioningyoursystemforthersttime,checkthatthe
followingprocesseshavebeencarriedoutcorrectly:
•Autopilotsysteminstallationcompletedinaccordancewiththe
InstallationGuide.
•SeaTalk

networkinstalledinaccordancewiththeSeaT alk

ReferenceManual.
•Wheretted,GPSinstallationandconnectionshasbeencarried
outinaccordancewiththeGPSinstallationguide.
Checkalsothatthecommissioningengineerisfamiliarwiththe
installationandcomponentsoftheautopilotsystemincluding:
•Vesseltype.
•Vesselsteeringsysteminformation.
•Whattheautopilotwillbeusedfor.
•Systemlayout:componentsandconnections(youshouldhavea
schematicofthevessel’sautopilotsystem).
5.2Commissioningprocess
•Checkyouhaveadheredtocommissioningpre-requisites.
•Initialpoweronandsetup.
•Docksidecalibration.
•Seatrialcalibration.
•Systemchecks.
