Docksidecalibration(DealersettingsonSeaT alksystems)must
becompletedbeforegoingoutonthewaterandperformingthe
seatrialcalibration
Docksidecalibrationcontainsthefollowingsteps:
•Drivetypeselection
•Ruddercheck
•Motorcheck
Youcanaccessthedocksidecalibrationmenuatanytime
fromthefollowingMenu>Setup>Autopilotcalibration>
Commissioning.
Note:Youwillneedtomeasurethehardovertimeofyourudder
priortocommencingdocksidecalibration.
Selectingadrivetype
1.UsingtheUPandDOWNbuttonsortheROTARYhighlight
DocksidecalibrationandpressSELECT.
2.FromtheDrivetypemenuhighlightandselectyourdrivetype:
Note:Ifyourdrivetypeisnotlisted,contactyourRaymarine
dealerforadvice.
3.PressOKtosaveyoursettinganddisplaythenextsetuppage.
Thisiseither:
•TheRuddercheck(center)page,ifthevesselhasarudder
referencetransducer,or
•TheMotorphasingnon-referencedpage,ifarudder
referencetransducerisnottted.
4.PressOKtoproceedwiththeRudderandmotorchecks.
YoucancancelDocksidecalibrationatanytimebypressing
STANDBY.
Warning:Ruddercheck
IfnorudderreferencehasbeenttedyouMUST
ensurethatadequateprovisionismadetopreventthe
steeringmechanismfromimpactingtheendstops.
Checkingtherudder
Thisprocedureestablishesportandstarboardrudderlimits
forsystemsusingarudderreferencetransducer.Fine-tuning
adjustmentstotherudderpositionmaybemadeduringseatrial
calibration.
Note:Systemswithoutarudderreferencewillgostraightto
motorchecks.
1.CentretherudderandpressOK.
2.Whenprompted,turntherudderhardtoportandpressOK.
3.Whenprompted,turntherudderhardtostarboardandpressOK.
4.Whenprompted,turntherudderbacktocentreandpressOK.
5.Ifarudderreferenceisinstalledtherudderlimitwillbedisplayed
withamessagelettingyouknowtherudderlimithasbeen
updated.
YoucancancelDocksidecalibrationatanytimebypressing
STANDBY.
Checkingthemotor(motorphasingchecks)
ThesystemwillcheckthedriveconnectionfromtheSmartPilot.
Onceithascompletedthechecksuccessfully,amessagewill
appearaskingifitissafeforthesystemtotakethehelm.
Note:Forsystemswitharudderreferencetransducerinstalled
thischeckshallfollowtherudderchecking,forsystemswithouta
rudderreferencethisstepshallfollowthedrivetypeselection.
