Availability of the WAAS System in North America
The WAAS system is presently broadcasting and being tested for
aviationuse. Itis expectedto becertifiedbytheFAAin 2002. During
this testing and certificationperiod, continuous service is expected,
however,briefsignaloutagesmay occurasrefinementsand upgrades
aremade tothe system.Thestatusof WAASandplanned outages are

Coverage Outside of North America
EGNOS is currently in the early testing and qualification phases and
signal outages may occur at any time. Thestatus of EGNOS and any

Use of Satellite Differential is currently disabled outside of the
WAAS reception area. When EGNOS is qualified for navigational
use, a procedurewill be published on our website which will enable
