1.2 The SmartPilot computer
T he SmartPilot comp uter (course computer) lies at the heart of the auto pilot
system. It processes information from the sensors in the system so it can steer the
boat usi ng the drive unit:
• it contai ns a microprocessor and electronic circuitry to control the drive unit
and the d rive motor.
