1.6 Display lighting & contr ast?
Adjusting the display lighting
Y ou can adjust the display an d keypad lighting by:
1. Pressing
disp
for 1 second from any mode to access the
LAMP
screen and
turn on the lights.

2. Press the
disp
butto n to cycle through the possible illumin ation settings:
LAMP 3
(the bright est setting)
, LAMP 2, LAMP 1, OFF, LAMP 1,
LAMP 2, LAMP 3
and so on:
• as you ch ange the setting, the illu mination on an y other SeaT alk instru
ments or control units will also change.
3. T he display automatically retur ns to the previous mode if you do not press a
butto n for 10 seconds:
• if you press an other mode button within 10 seco nds you will select the
mode assig ned to that bu tton (for example:
auto
selects Auto mo de,
standby
selects Standby mode).

You can also adjust the lighting level from any other SeaTalk instrument
or co ntrol u nit.
Notes: (1)
When you switch o ff the un it you lose any changes you have m ade to
the lig hting level.
Adjusting the contrast
T o set the displ ay contrast level:
1. With the au topilot in Standb y mode, press the
disp
butto n for one seco nd to
access the
LAMP
screen.
2. Press the
disp
button for one second aga in, to display th e
CONTRAST
screen.
3. Use the
+1
and
1
buttons to set th e required contra st level (from
1
to
15
).
