How do I dodge an obstacle in T rack mode?
In T rack mode you still have full control from the keypad.Y ou can make a dodge
maneu ver by using the co urse change buttons (
1 , +1 , 10 or +10 ) to select the
desired co urse change .
On making a dodge maneuver , the autopilot will revert to AUTO mode . Once you
are safely past th e obstacle, re initiate T rack mode to continue on your planned
route.
What happens when I arrive at a waypoint?
As the bo at arrives at the target waypoint the chartplotter will select the next
target w aypoint and tran smit this to the SmartPilo t. It will then detect the new
target w aypoint name , sound a W aypoin t Advance warn ing and display the
W aypoint A dvance (NEXT WPT) screen. T his shows the new bearing to the next
way point and the direc tion the boat will turn to acquire the new track.
How do I get to the next waypoint in a route?
When th e Way point Advan ce warning soun ds, the SmartPilot suspends T rack
mod e and maintain s the current boat heading.T o advance to the next waypoint:
1. Check that it is safe to tu rn onto the new track.
2. Press the track button . This will can cel the Wayp oint Advance w arning and
turn th e boat toward s the next waypoint.
Note: If you do not press track to accept the Waypoint Advance, th e SmartPilot will
maint ain the current heading and continue sounding the warning.
