NEXT WPT?
Way point advance alarm
The Sm artPilot activates th e Wayp oint Adv ance alarm whenever
the target waypoin t number changes . This occurs when:
• you select auto matic acquisit ion by press ing
track
from Aut o
• you request waypoint advance by pressing
track
for 1 second
in T rack mode (with SeaT alk navigators only)
• the boat arrives at the targ et waypoint and the navigator
accepts the next waypoin t
• you activat e the Man Overboard (MOB) function in T rack
mode
When the alarm sound s, the pilot continues on its current heading
but d isplays:
• the bearing to t he next waypoint
• the direction the b oat will t urn to tak e up th at bearing
Responding to a Waypo int Advance a larm
T o res pond to a W aypoint Ad vance alar m:
• check that it is safe to turn ont o the new track, then press
track
to accept t he waypo int adv ance
• alternatively, you can cancel the alar m without accepting the
waypoint adv ance by pr essi ng:
standby
to retur n to hand
steering, or
auto
to return to Auto mode.
Note: W aypoin t adv ance only operates if the Smar tpilot i s receiv
ing valid bearing to waypoint and waypoint number information.
OFFCOURSE

Off course alarm
When the v essel has been off course fro m the l ock ed heading for
longer t han 20 seconds .
• PT = Deviation to port
• Stb = Deviation to starb oard
You can adjust th is specified alarm angle in Dealer setup, see your
Commis sioning guide fo r details .

review autop ilot perfo rmance. See

SHALLOW
Shallow alarm
The SmartPi lot activates the Shallow alarm if it receives a shallow
depth alarm via SeaT alk:
•press
standby
or
disp
to cancel the alarm
WINDSHIFT
Larg e wind shift warning
Indicates a change in the ap parent wind an gle of mo re than 15º.
