2.5 User Calibration Options
T he calibration info rmation in this han dbook relates to only those setting s that
can be adj usted during nor mal operation (
USER CAL

Many of the settin gs are sailboat specific and will only be disp layed if your vessel
type is set to
SAILBOA T
.
How do I access User Calibration settings?
Y ou can only access the calibra tion mode from Standb y mode:
1. With the SmartPilot in Standby mode, press and hold the
standby
button for
2 second s. The display will change to sh ow
DISPLAY CAL
.
2. Press the
disp
button once , the display will now show
USER CAL
.
3. Press
auto
to enter User Calibration.
T he first page of User Calibration will n ow be displayed.
4. T o access other User Calibration pages, press
disp
to scroll down through the
items within that groupi ng:
5. When y ou reach an item you wish to adjust, use the
1, +1, 10
and
+10

to chan ge the value.
6. When yo u have made all the cha nges you want to make , press and ho ld
standby
for two seconds to exit calibration m ode and save changes .
User Calibration pages
AutoTack angle
The AutoT ack angle is the angle through which the boat will turn when you select
an auto matic tack.
Gybe inhibit
With gy be inhibit on:
• you will be able to perform an AutoT ack into the wind
• to prevent acci dental gybes , the SmartPilot will prevent the boat from per
forming an AutoT ack away from the wind
