DUAL STAGE HEADREST UPLIFT DETECTION – ONLY IN MODEL MD090F-1301BTRF
The MULTIDEC anti-bedsore mattress (MD090F-1301BTRF) is equipped with a bed headrest detection
sensor.
If the mattress headrest is raised by approx. 25 °, the pressure inside the mattress will increase by 10mmHg
in order to protect patient from “bottoming out” and L.L. code will be displayed on the pump. After lowering
the headrest of the bed, the pump will return to the previous settings.
If the mattress headrest is raised by approx. 45° the full inflation mode will automatically start and L.H. code
will be displayed on the pump. After lowering the headrest of the bed, the pump will return to the previous
settings.
iMAL SYSTEM – independent micro air loss system reduces heat accumulated in the mattress, which
increases patient comfort and ensures proper microclimate around his body. The iMAL system is
independent from mattress cells and therefore it does not interfere with transport functions. The iMAL
system works automatically and does not require any settings.
CPR quick deflation valve
The red valve located on the mattress side, in the head section. It is used for quick deflation of the
mattress. If it is necessary to deflate the mattress quickly, set the CPR to the OPEN position. To speed up the
procedure, you can additionally disconnect the air tubeset from the pump. To close the CPR valve, set it to
CLOSE again.
CAUTION: If the bed headrest is raised by approx. 45° the mattress surface will
automatically harden to avoid the contact between the patient's buttocks and the bed surface.
Staying too long on a hardened mattress surface can lead to the pressure sores development.
