Multibeam Models
These models are suitable for whole body
detection and must not be used to detect arms
or legs.
The minimum safety distance S is determined
according to the following formula:

Horizontal positioning of the light curtain
When the direction of approach of the body is parallel to
the plane of the protected area, the light curtain must be
positioned so that the distance between the far end of the
dangerous area and the outermost beam is equal to or
greater than the minimum safety distance S calculated as
follows:

) + 1200 – 0.4H
where H is the height of the protected surface from
the machine reference plane;
H = 15(D-50)
(D=resolution)
In this case, H must always be less than of 1m
(ISO 13855 Standard).
