CHASE VENT INSTALLATION—COOL WALL

Framed opening must be at least 2 3/8” (60 mm) tall, and at least 29 3/8” (746 mm) wide to accomodate the chase vent. The
top of the chase vent opening must be 2” (51 mm) or less from the top of the chase enclosure. Fasten the chase vent with
screws and construction adhesive.
If the chase vent is not being used, a minimum 58 in
2
(374 cm
2
) opening in the enclosure is required to maintain safe operating
temperatures. This can be achieved in a number of ways including a reveal at the top of the chase.
