Practical advice - 359
battery supplying the current should
have a capacity (amp-hours, Ah) which
isatleastthesameasthatofthedis-
charged battery.
Ensure that there is no risk of contact
between the two vehicles (risk of short
circuiting when the positive terminals
areconnected)andthatthedis-
charged battery is properly connected.
Switch off your vehicle ignition.
Note: as the battery cannot be directly
accessed,itisnecessarytousethere-
mote terminals located in the engine
compartment.
Do not use your E-tech full
hybrid or E-Techplug-inhy-
bridvehicletorestartan-
other vehicle's "12 V" battery. The
electrical power of a secondary
"12 V" battery in a E-techfullhy-
brid or E-Tech plug-in hybridvehi-
cleisinsufficientforthisopera-
tion.
Risk of damage to the vehicle.
Handle the battery with
careasitcontainssul-
phuric acid which must
not come into contact
with the eyes or skin. If it does,
wash the affected area with plenty
ofcoldwater.Ifnecessary,con-
sult a doctor.
Keep any flames, red hot objects
or sparks away from the battery
components (risk of explosion).
Please note when working close
to the engine that it may be hot.
The engine cooling fan may also
start at any moment. The
label in the engine compartment
reminds you of this.
Risk of injury.
The battery is not directly accessible.
You must use the remote terminals.
