360 - Practical advice
Use terminal 1 (-) and terminal 2 (+)
in the engine compartment.
Raise the cover 3 of terminal 2 (+).
Itisforbiddentodiscon-
nect the positive cable in
the engine compartment.
Risk of the engine
starting inadvertently.
Risk of burns by projection of
sparks.
Attach the positive cable A to terminal
2 (+), then to terminal 5 (+)ofthebat-
tery supplying the current.
Attach the negative cable B to termi
nal 4 (–) of the battery supplying the
current then to terminal 1 (–).
Start the engine of the vehicle and run
it at an intermediate engine speed.
If your vehicle's engine does not start
immediately, switch off the ignition and
wait a few seconds before repeating
the operation.
With the engine running, disconnect
cables A and B in the reverse order ( 1
- 4 - 5 - 2 ).
Reposition the cover 3 of terminal 2
(+).
Ensure that there is no
contact between cables
A and B andthatposi-
tive cable A is not in
contactwithanymetalliccompo-
nent in the vehicle supplying the
current.
Risk of injury and/or damage to
the vehicle.
