BONNET
Opening the bonnet
To open the bonnet, pull handle 1.
Take care when working
in the engine
compartment as the
engine cooling fan may
cutinatanymomentwithout
warning.
Before closing the bonnet, ensure
nothing has been left in the
engine compartment.
Bonnet safety lock
To unlock, pull catch 2.
Lift the bonnet and release stay 3
from its holder 4. For your own
safety, it is very important to fix the
stay into retainer 5.
To close the bonnet, replace stay 3
in its holder 4, grip the bonnet in the
middle and lower it 8 inches
(20 cm) above the closed position,
then release it. It will latch
automatically under its own weight.
Check that the bonnet is
correctly locked.
