EMERGENCY SPARE WHEEL
Access to emergency spare
wheel B
Use tool A, consisting of:
- ratchet wrench 3;
- socket 2;
- for some versions, specific
extension 1 (which must be
added).
These components are located in
the tool kit described previously.
To take out the emergency spare
wheel
Using tool A, undo nut 5 completely
(right side) and nut 6 partially (left
side) until the notch of cage 4 is
released from nut 6.
Move it up and down and from side
to side to release the emergency
spare wheel.
Depending on the vehicle, a note in
the tool kit covers these
instructions.
To refit the emergency spare wheel
Proceed in reverse order. Check that
cage 4 is correctly positioned before
tightening nuts 6 and 5.
If the spare wheel has
been stored for several
years, have it checked by
your Dealer to ensure
that it is still safe to use.
In some cases (rear puncture,
vehicle loaded with towing
equipment, etc.), it is necessary
toraisethevehicle(usingthe
lifting point nearest the wheel
concerned) to permit access to
the emergency spare wheel.
