2 Safety
2.1 Intended use
This device is designed to extract dry, non-explosive dust�
The unit is intended solely for use in a commercial dental laboratory and dental practice�
Theintendedusealsoincludescompliancewiththeconditionsspeciedbythemanufacturerconcerning
operation and maintenance�
TheextractionunitcanbeusedincombinationwithaSILENTowsensorwithinthescopeofmeasures
toprotectagainstexposuretodust*)asdenedbytheGermanordinanceonhazardoussubstances
("GefStoffV") / respective employers' liability insurance association�
For this purpose, the information on low-dust disposal of the extracted material (chapter "Emptying the
dustdrawer")andonlow-dustreplacementofthenelter(chapter"Replacingthenelter")inparticular
must be observed�
 Indoingso,boththeinstructionsforuseoftheextractionunitaswellasthoseoftheSILENTow
sensor must be observed.

principle GS-IFA-M20 (issued by the German Institute for Work and Health IFA) shall only be deemed to have

In the case of multi-workbench extraction units and the use of Y-junctions or extractor switches, every suction
channel/everysuctionpointmustbettedwithaowratemonitoringunit.
