3. Adjust the height of the bracket until the ‘nose’ of the dummy head touches the scale.
4. Tighten the bracket xing screws whilst ensuring good contact between the ‘nose’ of the dummyhead and the surface of the scale.
5. Remove the dummy head.
6. Install the ATOM readhead in place of the dummy head using screws in diagonally oppositexing holes. Ensure the readhead is pushed back against the shoulder of the bracket or mounting face.
7. Connect the system up. See pages 25 to 36 for relevant system connection.
8. Check the readhead set-up LED is green along the full axis of travel.
9. Proceed with ‘System calibration’ on page45.
