ERROR CODE DIAGNOSTICS
2.2 ERROR CODE LIST
A066 ERROR CODE
Water bypass control valve malfunction
If the bypass valve motor does not work properly, the
water heater displays the “A066” error code on the
User Interface.
NOTE: : Prior to measuring voltage, turn set
temperature down to 102 Water bypass valve
will activate at this temperature setting.
Diagnostic check items
• Water Bypass control valve.
Turn Power OFF
Remove and reinsert connector "G".
Visually inspect water volume control valve
for loose or damaged connections. Reas-
semble & operate unit.
Turn power ON and operate unit.
Unit has a loose con-
nection.
Unit appears to be
operating.
Check connector "G"
and operate unit again.
If "A066" error code
is appeared, Replace
control board.
Check connector "G",
and operate unit again.
If "A066" error code
is appeared, replace
control board.
Check connector "G",
and operate unit again.
If "A066" error code
is appeared, Replace
control board.
While water is flowing, the unit is at-
tempting to ignite.
Measure DC voltage between #3 wire
(White) & #15 wire (Black) at connector
"G"
While water is flowing, the unit is attempting
to ignite.
Measure DC voltage between #11 wire
(Green) & #15 wire (Black) at connector "G"
Turn power OFF then ON.
Operare unit again.
If "A066" error code is appeared, replace
water volume control valve.
While water is flowing, the unit is at-
tempting to ignite.
Measure DC voltage between #13 wire
(Red) & #15 wire (Black) at connector "G".
Is "A066" error
code appeared?
Is the voltage
