Code Meaning Suggested Cause/Action
14-05 SMTP Server HDD Full (452)
 Failed to access the SMTP server because
the HDD on the server is full.
 Insufficient free space on the HDD of the
SMTP server. Contact the system
administrator and check the amount of
space remaining on the SMTP server
HDD.
 Insufficient free space on the HDD where
the destination folder is located. Contact
the system administrator and check the
amount of space remaining on the HDD
where the target folder is located.
 Insufficient free space on the HDD at the
target destination for SMTP direct sending.
Contact the system administrator. Check
the amount of space remaining on the
target HDD or check if the mail size setting
is the default value (2MB).
 Check the size of the original data. For
example, if the original has too many
pages, the data size can be too big to
send.

User Not Found on SMTP
Server (551)
 The designated user does not exist.
 The designated user does not exist on the
SMTP server.
 The designated address is not for use with
direct SMTP sending.

 Failed to access the SMTP server because
the transmission failed.
 PC not operating correctly.
 SMTP server operating incorrectly.
 Network not operating correctly.
 Destination folder setting incorrect.
