1. Remove any debris from inside the printer.
2. Initialize the sensors (see page 2-27). Is the jam sensor (SB-5) good?

Check that the following connector is not loose: FCU CN19 - SB-5
Does the FCU receive signals from the sensor at CN19-3?
Y
N
Replace SB-5
Replace the FCU.
3. Check that the following connection is not loose: FCU CN13 - SB-4
Is the Replace Paper indicator lit even though paper is present?
Y N
Go to step 4.
Replace SB-4. If the machine is still defective, go to step 4.
4. Does the FCU receive signals at CN13-3?
Y
N
Replace SB-4.
Replace the FCU.
