Reducing wrinkles and improving fusability
To reduce wrinkles of thin papers, carbonless papers, or envelopes, adjust pressure of nip
width (contact width of pressure roller). Also, fusability can be improved by adjusting fusing
temperature.
Nip width adjustment and envelope nip width adjustment
Wrinkles can be reduced or improved when printing by adjusting [Nip Width Adjustment] and
[Envelope Nip Width Adjustment].
I. Fusing nip width adjustment
To reduce wrinkles for special papers including thin papers and carbonless papers, execute
[Fusing Nip Width Adjustment]. ("Nip width" indicates contact width of pressure roller)
(1) Open [Advanced Settings] of Custom Paper following Procedure in P.8, and adjust [Fusing
Nip Width].
With [Fusing Nip Width], wrinkle can be reduced by decreasing the value.

II Nip width adjustment for envelope
To reduce wrinkles for envelope, adjust [Fusing Nip Width].
