Function
Specify the environmental correction factors (high temperature and humidity = MH, HH) for the
paper transfer current per paper type.
When to use
Mottling may occur when printing black halftone images in high temperature and humidity. This
may be resolved by changing the environmental correction factors.
Paper Transfer Pressure Mode
1229 [Paper Transfer Pressure Mode]
Function
Adjusts the nip pressure between the paper transfer roller and the bias roller in four levels
(Standard Mode Higher Pressure Mode Highest Pressure Mode). Select a higher number as
the surface of the media gets rougher. You can increase the pressure to reduce the mottling on
textured paper.
When to use
If side-to-side magnification is misregistered due to the printed image, the problem may be solved
by adjusting the transfer pressure. Also, mottling, faint printing, and image quality degradation at
the leading and trailing edges of the paper may be solved by adjusting the transfer pressure.
