waterheaƟngsystems,andshallbeaccessiblefor
servicing.

line.Therelieflineshouldallowforcomplete
drainageofthevalveandtheline.

x Donotplaceanyothertypevalveorshutoī

plumbinginspectoronhowtocorrectthis
situaƟon.Donotplugthereliefvalve.

pressurereliefvalveforthisappliance.However,
localcodesmayrequireacombinaƟon
temperatureandpressurereliefvalve.

IsolaƟonvalvesareincludedwiththiswaterheater.
RinnaistronglyrecommendstheinstallaƟonof
isolaƟonvalvesonthecoldandhotwaterlines
becausetheyprovidetheability toisolatethewater
heaterfromthestructure’splumbingandallowquick
accesstoflushtheheatexchanger.Flushing
theheat
exchangerregularlyisrequiredaspartoftheproper
maintenanceforthiswaterheater.
