Instead of the level control feature you can also use coarse/fine function (menu ‘C 003’). Switchover to the
second setpoint takes place via the sensor input that is otherwise used for level control. Switchover can be
activated via a contact or an external 24 V DC signal voltage. When the 24 V signal is present, switchover
to the second setpoint takes place without delay.
(The level control function is not applicable.)

External control option for switching on/off the feed rate output, e.g. for linking several devices, or for con-
trol via PLC.
Sensor for monitoring the part level in an accumulation section or input for switchover to the second set-
point. 24 V DC (PNP).
The feed rate setpoint can also be specified via an external reference input variable (0...10 V, DC,
0(4)...20 mA), or potentiometer 10 kR. In case of an external setpoint, parameter E.S.P. has to be set to I in
menu ‘C 003’. If you use a potentiometer, you must in addition set parameter 'Pot' to I (not in the case of 16
A controllers).
Minimum output for setpoint ‘0’:
Set the minimum value required with the arrow buttons before switching parameter E.S.P. to the external
setpoint. Then switch E.S.P. to ‘I’ and the set value is kept as minimum value for setpoint ‘0’.
Relay contact 250 V/1 A (changeover contact). The relay picks up if the feeder is on. – If the enabling sig-
nal is missing or in case of a fault message, the relay drops out.
'Time-out' message active when the sensor does not detect any material after the set time period (adjusta-
ble with parameter 'E.'). (not for ESM controllers)
Output for orienting air required, 'On' with feeder start, 'Off' 4 sec. after feeder stop (off-time can be ad-
justed with parameter 'A.i.'). (not for ESM controllers)
