13 Recoil starter
(1) Remove the recoil starter from
the rear housing by removing
(See Fig. 10-9.)
10 mm box spanner
three M6 x 8 flange bolts.

Starter pulley
(1) Turn the starter pulley by hand
to set the piston to the compres-
(See Fig. 10-10.)
12 mm box spanner
sion stroke top (where the pulley
becomes heavy). Using a hammer,
strike the box wrench set over
the head of the through-bolt to
remove the bolt. Then, remove
the pulley.
