Chapter 7 Replace Components
Reinstall the Cover
To reinstall the cover, perform the following steps.
1. Turn the motherboard over and return the cover to the computer.
Reinstall the cover so that the I/O connections on the motherboard
align with the corresponding openings on the front panel of the
computer.
2. Reinstall and tighten the eight screws that secure the computer cover.
3. Reinstall the mounting bracket to the back side of the computer.
a. Align the mounting bracket so the end with the ground screw is at
the bottom.
For the correct alignment, see Figure 1 on page 10
.
b. Reinstall the four screws that secure the mounting bracket to the
back side of the computer.
4. Follow the steps for Post-configuration
on page 28.
You need the following tools to replace the cover:
• 2.5 mm Phillips screwdriver to reinstall the four mounting screws
• Torx T6 screwdriver to reinstall the eight cover screws
