Assigning a Sample to a Pad (Assign to Pad)
Here’s how you can assign a sample as a rhythm tone to a pad. This operation is called Assign
To Pad .
1.
In the Sample List screen, make sure that the sample you recorded is
highlighted, and then press [7 (Load Util)].
The Load Utility Menu window appears.

Press [2 (Assgin to Pad)].
The Assign to Pad screen appears.

Press the pad that you want to assign.
The pad shown in the screen will be highlighted.
4.
Press [8 (Exec)].
A message will ask you confirmation.
5.
Press [8 (Exec)] to assign the sample to the pad.
To cancel, press [7 (Cancel)].
Strike the pad to hear the sample you assigned.
Before you begin this procedure, make sure that a rhythm set is assigned to the Pad part (p. 11).
